LearnOSM Relaunched

Posted by lxbarth on 21 March 2013 in English.

We just relaunched LearnOSM - the step by step resource for learning OpenStreetMap. LearnOSM was launched in 2011 by the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap team for the workshops they are giving world wide. It has grown into a resource used by OpenStreetMap newcomers and trainers well beyond its roots in humanitarian aid and disaster risk management.

Read up on the new LearnOSM and learn how to contribute to translations and other improvements by Jue Yang, the designer and developer behind the new face of LearnOSM:

Very much easier to read and navigate through. Well done.

It look like the Polish version of the guide is gone and it’s not in the repository either. Is there much work needed to re-add it? Cheers

balrog-kun - I’m pretty certain there’s never been a Polish version. I’ve been in the past tricked into thinking there was one as the Indonesian flag looks so similar. I’m sure a Polish version would be welcome though.

Hi Alex, there was a PDF for download on the learnosm website. I know Jeff Haack had access to the gdocs version though it was not structured the same way as the other language versions because IIRC we had problems generating a single PDF from multiple docs. I’ll share the gdocs with you if I can find it.

balrog-kun - I see, wasn’t aware of a PDF. I just posted a ticket to Jeff Haack: https://github.com/hotosm/learnosm/issues/73
