Changeset When Comment

Hello,
I know that this was ages ago, but I wonder if way/203151909 is the same feature as way/247737318 ?
(I'm mentioning this at both changesets - I have no familiarity with this area at all; a DWG correspondent thought that the path of the Tame here was wrong)

It looks like this changeset reverts an undiscussed import. See @Artur'In/blocks and most recently osm.org/user_blocks/16262 . One of the DWG tickets is Ticket#2022112510000097 .

@HaPe-CZ There have been numerous previous problems with your editing (see
@HaPe-CZ/blocks for details of that).
Calling people "trolls" because they think that something that you have done based on aerial imagery is incorrect is not OK.
Perhaps you should spend a little more time surveying outside? That will help you get a better understanding of what you see on aerial imagery (including when it is an is not up to date).

Hello,
What is "busmiles.uk"?

Hello MKBE_,

Temporary restrictions such as "They are fixing one side of the road at a time to prevent a full road closure" tend not to be mapped "live" in OSM. If a road is closed for months, that's a different story. The reason for this is that the cadence of updates from OSM that users see varies hugely (in apps, monthly is common).

For further discussion, https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/uk/86 is a better place than here as more people will see it and be able to comment.

Best Regards,

Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

For info - a Cambridge local on Discord reckons that this is sensible too.

Yes - there is no infrastructure there behond an "H" and a few warning signs on the surrounding fencing. By all means change it.

I'd suggest reverting these edits and following osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct .

Hello,
You've removed the name from e.g. way/121268133/history here. Sometimes a description _is_ the name - are you sure that it is not in the cases that you have changed?
Did you discuss this automatic edit anywhere before doing it?
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello and welcome to openstreetmap!
Did you know that you could make buildings like way/1294651512 rectangular by pressing q in the editor?

Done

Great - thanks!

Since you've been there recenly I wonder if you might be able to offer help re note/4300079 ? Currently in OSM you can't walk between the north side of Long Road and Hills Road south.

I'd follow what it says at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/have-you-spotted-vandalism-on-openstreetmap-org/114684 and report it by email if it is something new.

Hello VLD300,
While the previous name:en for https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/4027452036 was an unlikely one it's a bit of a stretch to say that an important place doesn't have an English name at all.
What was the reason that you removed it?
I'd be interested to know what your sources for current status and name is. It's actually probably worth discussing over at the forum. Two communities claim this region as "theirs"; following a war one is currently in control. There will no doubt be be argument on the forum about who _ought_ to control and name this area; but information about the on-the-ground status may be harder to come by.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello Binnette,
You appear to be trying to import data from wikidata into OpenStreetMap without checking the licence of the data collected in wikidata or checking that OSM does not already have better data.
When importing data, or asking other people to import data, you must follow osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines .
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend from OSM's Data Working Group
