The first OpenStreetMap Meetup in Serbia invitation

On December 7th we organize The First OSM Meetup in Serbia. I hope we will have decent number of participants.

Hi, a somewhat tangential question. I organized two OSM beer meetings in Gdańsk, PL, with varying success. I scheduled the meeting once on Doodle, the second time on Framadate.

Some 2 weeks ago my friend invited me to a Meetup (about embedded programming) which he co-hosts. I did a quick research and sadly it’s quite pricey to host a Meetup group, though there was some vague mention of fee exemption for non-profits. Do you pay much for it or do you qualify?

RicoElectrico, I see no reason for high costs for meetings. It should not be hard to get meeting space even for free as this is non comercial event.

Yes, Meetup.com is not free and they do not have plans to be free (AFAIK). They bvasically charge you for “audience reach”. We payed for it. We still didn’t have meeting, but we have to analyze was it worth it, but that can happen only after meeting.

RicoElectrico sorry, I did not get your question was about meetup.com
