Hi Chris
As you;re adding PROW refs could you use the agreed tag of prow_ref please?
osm.wiki/UK_access_provisions

The others used in this example are also useful:

Hi
1. Tweaked it slightly so it joins.
2. Divide up the area, part natural=scrub, part landuse=grass for the bits which are maintained.
3. Map the area concerned as landuse=construction & any partially built roads as highway=construction, similar to osm.org/#map=17/51.75586/-2.30985

Hi Again
Are you sure this path does go directly across the field?

Bing aerial imagery shows clear markings & OS also shows it:

Hi Steve
Your edits appear to have split the Cotswolds AONB boundary relation. Are you able to repair it?
relation/166570#map=16/51.7516/-2.2743

is this area houses?

natural=scrub seems appropriate if not.

Hi mappervue
Are you aware you've added routes relations to the whole roundabout, even though they don't go there?
relation/1318928#map=19/51.38351/-2.35622
Could you clarify what you trying to amend?

FYI The platform tag is on the relation so doesn't need to be on the way.
This is standard tagging for all relations,

Hi
Is this way not a BOAT any more?

It used to have the red way sign arrow at the western end.

Hi
Bullet points in response:

Dorchester St is accurate enough in relation to adjacent OSM buildings.
Please be aware that most aerial imagery is not accurately aligned & needs adjusting slightly.
I note this is the accuracy of Travelline:
https://snag.gy/W4hiF8.jpg

Unsure how much it's used but:
width=*

There is only one east bound bus stop & it was clearly nearer to Dorchester St than the car park entrance roads.

I'm surprised your software uses service roads, at least before checking they actually go somewhere & not double back or terminate in a cul-de-sac. How many routes use highway=service?

Why would a road name prevent tracking?

Moving a road to make it less accurate is not the solution.

Adding parking bay "mini-roads" could be worthwhile addition, but don't buses often swap bays when their default one is in use?

Wouldn't maintaining route relations solve all of your problems?

Cheers
DaveF

Hi
Could you clarity the reasons for this edit please? If Traveline is unable to work with OSM's data, as is, then the problem is in their software & should be upgraded.

Hi

I could add them but I'm reluctant to add data which isn't really necessary. Talk-transit has discussed their existence & the conclusion is they need to be, at least, simplified, if not removed altogether. Could you provide an explanation of why they're required & a real world example where they benefit OSM data users?

PTv2 appears to be vastly overcomplicated & unnecessary, especially with the rail network where the /vast/ majority of tags are just duplicating existing, well populated, well used tags.

Please stop adding fake data.

Hi
Incorrect tags are not a valid reason to delete.
Incorrect tags which don't fit within the rules of your edit isn't valid either.
Please add notes/fixme tags to indicate where you believe there is an error, so that other with more knowledge may update.

@joleus Thank you for deleting the node.

If you've a photo of the dam upload it to your favourite site & post a link here.

As you are the one who supposedly has knowledge of 'Bunksurfing' etc it is up to you to amend the database to make it as accurate as possible.

How do you have this knowledge? Have you been there? I ask this question as you mention Google. If you mean Google maps, please be aware it is copyrighted & not a valid source to add data to OSM.

68456906 over 6 years ago

If the dam exists it's not a ruin. Can you provide evidence that it exists?

I can only find a 'Banksurfing' hostel. Ifthat doesn't exist, please delete it. if it's in the wrong location please move it. Adding another node in a random location, as you've done, doesn't solve anything. Two wrongs don't make a right.

OSM is "a life line" for many users, not just maps.me, which is why it's database accuracy is so important. Please ensure you add only verified data in the most accurate locations possible.

68456906 over 6 years ago

@Joelius Adding nodes is not the way to indicate something is incorrect. Please use 'notes': osm.wiki/Notes
Where is this "closed location that is not deleted". The node you added is nowhere near any other items.
Please learn to use an editor with a delete function. Many contributors use this one: osm.wiki/ID

I can see no evidence of a dam that is a tourist attraction. Do you have a web site which mentions it? If the Dam is closed, then it's not a tourist attraction.

68456906 almost 7 years ago

Then why did you add it?!
These additions are very spread out, especially this one in the USA node/6357132185
Do you have knowledge they're genuine?
If not, then please delete them.
Please read the instructions on how to delete

Hi
You've removed website=en:Limestone_Link
from this relation. While technically wrong (which I can fix) it's still usable data (it was still clickable on most software.
Tags such as this shouldn't be deleted but updated.
Can you run a check to see if there are any others?
Could your bot amend them to wikipedia tags?
