OSM Presentation at FISL 11.0
Posted by Claudomiro on 27 July 2010 in English. Last updated on 28 July 2010.FISL[1] is one the world´s biggest gathering of open-source supporters. This year it attracted more than 7000 people from every corner of Brazil and some from abroad. Arlindo Pereira and Samuel Vale, two of the most active members of OSM in Brazil shared the responsability to present the project in one of the friday´s sessions. The allocated time of one hour proved to be too short to repond the many questions asked by a very interested audience. Certanly this will have a positive impact on the project´s growth in our country.
Flávio Fialho, a local contributor from the Rio Grande do Sul state and myself (from São Paulo) were there too, and as Arlindo is from Rio de Janeiro and Samuel from Minas Gerais this could be labeled as our first "national" meeting. We seized the opportunity to share experiences and to discuss mapping standands. We left then with the commitment to organize a much bigger presence next year.
We would like to thank the OSI and the OSM Foundation for the funds for our trip.
