Well ok but I wanted to point out the possibility. Cause good looking animations like ITO does make a lot of work. There is currently no good GIS animation tool.

In fact if I recall correctly the _original_ editing java applet (what we had before potlatch) was written in processing.

Actually the first one wasn't Processing it was a memory hungry Java Swing applet (or some other standard UI toolkit). Not sure how many edits were made with it.

Ah ok but I'm not aware how much work it is to integrate OSM (data filtering, projection,...) but hey we will see
