Danke in Vorraus
I have bought a MP3 player with a recording function.
Creative ZEN has a time stamp so it should work.
Using my tracker (Garmin GPSmap 65CSx) I tracked part of the local park and used the ZEN to make verbal notes.
Everything seemed to be going well.
The audio recording (*.wav) was played back using 4 different standard programs
(RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Nero Media Player, and QuickTime Player.
The playback was OK.
However, when using JOSM (after the track was loaded and the OSM data downloaded)
I loaded the *.wav file and the little speech icons were distributed along the recorded track as expected.
However, when I tried to open the *.wav I received the following message in German
"Aus der Eingabedatei konnten keine Audiodaten gelesen werden"
"No audio data could be read from the input file"
Has anyone any idea what I am doing wrong!!!
I would like to take voice notes using a recorder.
These recordings would then use JOSM playback facility.
I have no idea what to purchase as I have never used
such a device.
Obviously the device must be compatible with my computer!
It must have a USB interface.
It should have a time stamp down to seconds.
As I would like to use it while bicycling and mapping
it should be usuable with the use of my hands.
Ideally it take simple pictures as well. (I use my camera at the moment)
Thanks for your help
Can anyone tell me how I should enter:
dcp (in Limassol)
I am a newbie.
I am using a Garmin GPSCSx for track collection. No problems there.
What I would like to do is to transfer OSM Maps to my Garmin so that I can see what
data needs to be collected without referring to the OSM internet data.
Question: Can it be done and if so how???
dcp in germany
I am a novice. The Garmen tracker is new, just a few days old.
The tracks are erratic. The altitude show large altitude differences although I am in flatland (+/- 10 meters.
When tracking I am sometimes up over 500 meters from the Garmen map.
For example. On Tuesday I was cycling northwards on the west bank of the Rhine river. Garmen map showed me to be on the East bank of the river heading north.
I admit I may be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what that could be.
I have sent an email to Garmen but have received no reply
