Undeleting Relations

Posted by Nachtspazz on 26 June 2011 in English.

Hi,

I accidentally deleted the following relations (using Potlatch 2):
103253
103227
130841
8300
326688

What do I need to do to correct this unfortunate mistake (or better: to get it corrected by someone who is better skilled)?

Thanks

Vielleicht ist der Changeset oder die genaue Uhrzeit hilfreich?

I've undeleted relation 326688. If you can confirm that it worked, I will undelete the others.

Yes! Thank 326688 is restored! Thank you very much. (I will still need to do a little bit of editing in the middle part, but now I know how to do it without messing things up),

I you don't mind, it would be great if you could restore the others as well. And maybe you can let us know how you did it.

Thanks again!

Ok, I followed this wiki page: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Undoing_Deletions

The undelete plugin seemed to crash, so I went with the manual method.

* Go to http://api.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/relation/[Relation id]/[version number before it was deleted]
* open the XML file in a text editor and change the version number of the relation so it is the same as the current (deleted) version on OSM
* add the key action="modify" to the relation XML node
* save the xml file, open it in josm and upload it to OSM.

They are all restored, but they seem to have some holes (especially 8300) so if you can complete it, please do.

Thank you! Yes, I am aware of the holes (at least of some of them). I will check them all, especially 8300.

I closed the holes except for 8300 which is actually pretty incomplete anyway.
