Petition in Faroe Islands: they Want Google Street View. Someone should propose OSM!
Posted by FraMauro on 13 July 2016 in English.In the website sheepview360 they propose a petition to have Google Street View covering the Faroe Islands.
Is there anybody willing to propose OSM and the related services? I am just “a bit” far away, I do not think to be the best proposer!
Take into account that news about the petition reached Italian press: having them switch to OSM could be good PR material…

Then they should have a closer look at http://www.mapillary.com … where you can collect and publish crowd based street level images.
You can even display panorama images or 360 degree spherical images like on googl streetview.
OSM Community is even allowed to use all images from there for mapping purposes.

If you also magically can make Mapiliary as popular as Google Street View currently is, that suggestion would make at least some sense for them.
