Latest Konqueror with defaults (I don't know or found an option to reduce the connetions) opens up to 15 connections (netstat) and so seems to be hit by the tile server limit, as after some zooming and panning on the mapnik map, the tiles are not loading complete anymore. Many tiles remains white and a few load very slow.

Up to 15 to the same domain? I heard, it is about 2 in other browsers.

Fabi2: Works for me. When your internet connection and/or the tile server is under high load, it's not unusual that some tile requests get lost, whichever browser you are using.
kolen: Didn't look up the setting of all curent browsers, but they rarely limit themselves to 2 connections nowadays. "2 connections" is an old RFC recomendation which is rarely optimal with curent hard/software.
