Help the Community Updates Newsletter!

Posted by !i! on 13 September 2010 in English. Last updated on 14 September 2010.

Hi, I'm pretty sure that a few noted the weekly Community Updates on the wiki http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Community_Updates
This services is contributed by EMerzh but he is the only editor and has to monitor all the OSM channels (mailing lists, blogs, forums,...).

So come on, help him to make a weekly review for the OSM universe and drop him a line if you found something interesting
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Community_Updates/draft
Would be pretty cool if we can gain a few peoples to monitor all the OSM stuff, please add yourself here for coordination:

In Germany we have since a few months the OSM Wochenrückblick(engl. OSM Week review) http://blog.openstreetmap.de
That is realy awesome because simply nobody subscriptes all the mailing lists or wiki pages!

One more a big big THANK YOU for the teams doing this great job for our comunity week by week :)

http://blog.openstreetmap.de/ not .org

I already missed the updates in the diaries here. :(
I wish they would still post here.

Seems like I should go to http://blogs.openstreetmap.org/ more often, I find that site very confusing though.

Sure, thanks for the hint :)

What is the pro of the diary to you? you can get an RSS of the wikipage, too

Yes the widley communication is a big problem but for the next this newsletters are nice tools to melt the traffic into a single media :)

Oh, it's just that I read the diaries anyways and thus was happy about the updates being done here.

Ah ok I see your point but the wiki IMHO allows a little bit better formating and linking to the described tags etc. But of course we can promote the Community Updates here, too :)
