Hello again SHARCRASH,

Andy from OSM’s Data Working Group here. We’ve received yet another complaint that you’ve been making invalid edits based on inaccurate sources.

I’ve commented on https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/115368669 ; please reply there about that specific issue.

In future, if you find whenever you map anything purely from “armchair” sources that are changing the tagging of something that has previously been surveyed on the ground, please explain in detail in the changeset comment why you are sure that your edits are correct and the previous edits are wrong**.

As https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/SHARCRASH/blocks makes clear, this is not the first time that the quality of your mapping or your attitude to other mappers’ work has been called into question.

In the text of previous blocks such as https://www.openstreetmap.org/user_blocks/5311 it was made very clear to you how you must work with other mappers. If you fail to follow that advice voluntarily we will ensure that your edits do not wipe the contributions of others from OpenStreetMap.

If you like to discuss this please email data@openstreetmap.org with a subject containing “[Ticket#2022033110000171]”.

Best Regards,

Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM’s Data Working Group.

** this is a fairly unusual requirement from the DWG. After a few dozen edits most mappers work in the same areas as other mappers and get along just fine without problems; rarely do we see issues where (as you did) you bullied someone so much that they deleted their account. You unfortunately have not yet picked up this skill, which is why we have to make this request.
