Hi Anton Khorev,
Post feedback from OSM community, we immediately stopped updating OSM data with PDF maps from university websites. We also reached out to universities on the copyright issues but didn’t hear back anything from them. Going forward we will not add any information unless we have a go ahead from universities but unsure how to act upon the data which was already added. Please do let me know if you have any suggestions to course correct the data which is already added.

University layouts are in public domain to help people understand the locations quick and clear. We have utilized layouts to enrich OSM with same data which in-turn will help public understand locations within the university. We also follow similar practice in temporary road closure/construction scenarios, where we source data from DOT websites. Please let us know in case of concerns/queries. Happy to work with OSM community.
