Genau aus dieser PDF geht auch hervor warum die Situation die ich hinterfrage so chaotisch ist. Es ist, wie von Graf Westerholt angesprochen, allem Anschein direkt neben der Fahrbahn, ohne zwei erkenntliche Spuren und ohne Schild: ein Gehweg, den man als Radfahrer nicht benutzen darf Gleichzeitig ist es aber der einzige Weg der auf den sich daran anschließenden und benutzungspflichtigen Radweg führt

Also ohne Ortskenntnis: Man fährt auf der Straße, und muss dann überraschenderweise kurz später durch das Gras auf den benutzungspflichtigen Radweg wechseln? Mit Ortskenntnis: Man schiebt auf dem Gehweg, bis man auf den Radweg kommt, und steigt dort wieder auf?

Problematisch finde ich, dass der Fußweg getrennt eingetragen ist, obwohl er nicht baulich getrennt ist.

Es erscheint also zweckdienlich ihn gleich getrennt zu kartieren wo der physikalisch beginnt, weil man sonst später mit dem Router über einen Bordstein oder einen Rasen fahren müsste um ihn zu erreichen

Der Weg ist offensichtlich keine Fahrbahn. Und da kein Zeichen zu sehen ist, welche ihn zum Befahren mit Fahrrädern frei gibt, darf man es auch nicht.

Das war meine ursprüngliche Frage, ja Ist dem auch so, wenn es nicht explizit als Fußweg ausgeschlildert ist allein durch die Gegebenheit dass er parallel zu einer Straße verläuft? Führt allerdings in der Praxis zu Problemen da es die einzige Zufahrt zu dem Radweg danach ist (siehe auch Foto oben) und wird von allen Radfahrenden so gehandhabt dass er benutzt wird.

Da du anscheinend eine Art Experte für diese Art von Weg bist, bin ich froh wen gefunden zu haben der sich hier vielleicht auskennt:

Ist dieser Weg, da er komplett ohne ein Schild ist, nun laut STVO ein highway=path mit impliziertem foot=yes, bicycle=yes?

Infrastructure and and the strong “verifable on the ground” mentality some people have really collide. Have you had any instances where where people were against mapping underground infrastructure or even removed it, due to difficult verifiability? Personally I am not a strong believer of the “verifable on the ground” principle, due to the exact reason that we can get valueable knowledge by few experts this way, but many are.

I like to capture using something with changeable battery.
Right now it is the GoPro Hero3, with 8 third party batteries that cost under 3€ a piece and run about 2h in 2s interval mode.
The camera mount by Tacx seemed appropriate, it combines the advatages of being affordable, being sturdy, holding the camera mostly steady when steering and being permanently attached to the bike without disturbing.
Imagemagick flips the result, fixes the extreme fisheye distortion, crops out (most of) the bicycle bags and the mapillary scripts sync it up with a gpx from my Garmin eTrex.
It has a narrow angle compared to your setup, but the advantage that it can capture for 12h+ with many batteries and does not need a phone.

Hi Markus, I will give Lambertus maps a try. As far as the Umlauts go, the same problem existed in other cities like Dresden too, that was not the issue.

The latest Firmware update for the device is from 2015 (kudos Garmin) and the route calculation is incredibly fast, even faster than the maps.me app with Open Source Routing Machine on a phone from 2013

Thanks, I will keep that in mind, if i ever need to plan a route on my PC and quickly enter the Points into the device.
For now I am glad the search is working again

Frustrierend für andere Mapper: Ganz Oberhaching ist auf den mm genau von ToniE kartiert, was soll man da noch tun! Bleibt wohl nix andres als die Karte aufs Handy zu laden, sich die beste Strecke erstellen zu lassen und an andere Stelle weiterzumachen!
