about 3 years ago | hey john, feel free to adjust based on your explanation, appreciate you reaching out
about 3 years ago | Largely based on signage but the citywide speed limit is 25 mph. feel free to adjust anything that appears to be incorrect though!
about 3 years ago | Aren't the helmsley walks connected in that they share a wide cross walk across the street?
over 3 years ago | @MxxCon there must be a data error on the vision zero page, as that is inconsistent with signs that are depicted on the road itself.
over 3 years ago | @MxxCon that was a typo, thank you for catching! I just corrected it.
over 3 years ago | You can't u-turn at either end anyway so I'm not sure the purpose of mapping it that way for such a tiny piece of road
over 3 years ago | Why does it have to be dual ways for such a short segment?
over 3 years ago | *MxxCon, apologies
over 3 years ago | @Mmxcon they were originally not aligned to the roadbed at all
over 3 years ago | @MxxCon it seems like we're in the T3 situation described here: osm.wiki/Bicycle#Cycle_tracks To me, the separate way method is visually more accurate and captures more detail. However, I understand this is is not a "set policy"...
over 3 years ago | If physical separation is required to map it separately, then perhaps this wasn't the right move. From a visual perspective, it's a 2-way path protected from a one-way street by a row of parked cars
almost 4 years ago | fixed! thanks for pointing that out.
about 4 years ago | I'm sorry I didn't see your earlier messages until, but I do think calling my contributions "vandalism" is a bit of a stretch. I will certainly keep your feedback in mind when making future edits.
about 4 years ago | Hi, thanks for your note. If I had removed the cycleway tag on the main way would it have been acceptable edit? (for the portion of the route that is protected)
about 4 years ago | Thanks, I’ll definitely do that going forward!
over 4 years ago | The campus streets that are pedestrian-only carry the name of the original street that ran through, except with "Walk". Hence Locust Walk, Woodland Walk, Hamilton Walk, etc I certainly didn't intend to make a subjective edit, though it's hard to remember specific details from four years ago from 4 years ago.
over 4 years ago | from my understanding, these were not "subjective point of view" edits
