Changeset When Comment

Combination of incorrectly marked signals that are actually stop signs + changing signals to be marked at the center of the intersection as opposed to individually coming from every direction into the intersection. will keep changesets smaller going forward!

Are you interested in explaining what I am doing incorrectly? let's make this a learning experience rather than an attack

Thanks for fixing. They probably wouldn't be too happy about that...

hey john, feel free to adjust based on your explanation, appreciate you reaching out

Largely based on signage but the citywide speed limit is 25 mph. feel free to adjust anything that appears to be incorrect though!

Aren't the helmsley walks connected in that they share a wide cross walk across the street?

124457869 over 3 years ago

@MxxCon there must be a data error on the vision zero page, as that is inconsistent with signs that are depicted on the road itself.

124457384 over 3 years ago

@MxxCon that was a typo, thank you for catching! I just corrected it.

You can't u-turn at either end anyway so I'm not sure the purpose of mapping it that way for such a tiny piece of road

124251166 over 3 years ago

Why does it have to be dual ways for such a short segment?

*MxxCon, apologies

124119026 over 3 years ago

@Mmxcon they were originally not aligned to the roadbed at all

124028948 over 3 years ago

@MxxCon it seems like we're in the T3 situation described here: osm.wiki/Bicycle#Cycle_tracks

To me, the separate way method is visually more accurate and captures more detail. However, I understand this is is not a "set policy"...

124028948 over 3 years ago

If physical separation is required to map it separately, then perhaps this wasn't the right move. From a visual perspective, it's a 2-way path protected from a one-way street by a row of parked cars

fixed! thanks for pointing that out.

I'm sorry I didn't see your earlier messages until, but I do think calling my contributions "vandalism" is a bit of a stretch. I will certainly keep your feedback in mind when making future edits.

Hi, thanks for your note. If I had removed the cycleway tag on the main way would it have been acceptable edit? (for the portion of the route that is protected)

112038425 over 4 years ago

Thanks, I’ll definitely do that going forward!
