I have to say that did not mean to seem hostile. OSM is bound by licence terms and TheEnbyperor did not show sufficient proof that the terms are fitting and also did not point me to any prior discussion apart from this diary entry.

We welcome all kinds of contributions but we have rules for imports.

Follow those and talk to “the community” at c.osm.org and you’re probably fine.

if you have a GPX-track on your mobile device open vespucci, click the hamburger menue in the top right corner, hit the plus (+) button and then you can add a GPX layer with the desired file from your mobile device.

(slice0: No, this is not an import. Go ahead, grad your editor of choice and do some landuse mapping in Australia using current aerials available in your editor. You will see your work being welcome)

The choice of editor does not say anything about something being a mechanical edit.
