I've looked at the mapping of Cody, WY, USA, and it needs a lot of work. It seems there has been some recent work besides my own. Is anyone working to improve Cody, WY map, and if so do you wish to collaborate? I don't live in Cody, so I won't know street names unless I look them up on Yahoo map or elsewhere, however, I am able to fix street alignment, and get rid of places where streets seem to overlap, etc.

It might be useful to copy from Tiger 2009: http://www.census.gov/geo/www/tiger/tgrshp2009/tgrshp2009.html. This is public domain government data and significantly better quality than what is currently imported into OSM.

And, of course, you cannot copy names (or anything else) from Yahoo maps or any other copyrighted map (unless you have managed to negotiate specific written permission to copy their data into OSM).

Maybe you lookup who uploaded the existing data of Cody and contact them. Or you move your OSM home position temporary to Cody and look who lives around you.
