I'm really sorry. I am no longer using iD validation. There are just too many problems with it. Feel free to revert.

Sorry about that. Won't happen again.

May I suggest using one of the editors that most OSM mappers use - iD in your web browser is fairly simple and straightforward, or JOSM which most veteran mappers use. It has a bit of a learning curve but has many abilities that iD doesn't have yet.

@oba510 There have been some discussions in the Wiki pages regarding "boutique." It is somewhat ambiguous because it refers primarily to the size and configuration of the shop, not what is being sold in it. Some in this changeset area are indeed selling clothing but there is also boutiques selling espresso coffee and makers, jewelry, flowers and gifts. There has been discussion about choosing tags that are more accurate as to what is being sold rather than just using boutique.

oba510 As for the changes to Peet's Coffee, that is the standardized name for use in OSM, and that is the name used on the websites of Peet's Coffee locations in San Francisco. Although there may be a banner saying Peet's Coffee & Tea hanging outside, Peet's has chosen not to use that in their branding. I have no problem with iD validation identifying Peet's Coffee & Tea as a deprecated tag and replacing it with the standardized brand used at all the other locations.

freebeer, it would probably best to do some tests with the validation in iD and see what results you get. I'm getting too much negative feedback about my use of it - some deserved and some not - so I'm going to take a different route.

Sorry my edits caused a problem. I don't know anything about the Peet's shops being changed. I didn't add anything but some tags were changed because they were deprecated. Thanks for your patience.

Check it now. I think I got it all. Sometimes OSM won't let you delete something when part of it is outside the screen viewing area. If you are not able to zoom out and see the whole object then you can split lines and delete a piece at a time.

I am not familiar with the capabilities of the editor you are using - GoMap. Perhaps someone else can help out of this one.

We need more info. Exactly what is the thing you are trying to delete?

It would be much easier to give you feedback if you left comments detailing what you were trying to accomplish by your edits.

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure how that happened but I reverted it.

The previous comments indicate that the tagging originally questioned was not a part of this change set and was done by someone else. If we should not be using the fixes done by ID I need clarification as to why we should not, and perhaps the communication should be with the ID developers.

The extra healthcare tags were added automatically by iD fixing deprecated tagging.

I did not add any hospitals or amenities of any sort.

Hello smoothiebot0505. Houses can be difficult to get square but is you press the q key while the house is select iD will square it for you. Hope you enjoy OSM mapping;

No problem. To add a bridge you will need to add nodes on the path at each end of the bridge by just double-clicking on the path. Then cut the path on those nodes. You can find the scissors tool by right-clicking on the nodes.Select the bridge segment of the path and apply the bridge tag and make sure the layer is set to 1.

Instead of creating a point and tagging the point with info about the bike path just select the path itself and add the appropiate tags there. You may find that most of your tags are already there.
