Hallo, "Güns" steht doch als deutscher (aktueller und veralteter) Alternativname da? Der Grund für meine Änderung war damals: in der deutsch-sprachigen Wikipedia werden auf den verlinkten OSM-Landkarten die Ortsnamen in Ungarn und in anderen osteurop. Staaten mit dem "deutschen Namen" (name:de) angezeigt. Diese sind heute in fast allen Fällen nicht mehr gängig und stammen noch aus dem 3. Reich und davor.

Eine Möglichkeit wäre, in diesen speziellen Ländern die Ortsnamen in der Landessprache anzuzeigen. Das wäre aber in manchen Fällen auch suboptimal.

Zumindest mit der aktuellen Situation können keine OSM-Landkarten aus Osteuropa bei de-Wikipedia eingebunden werden, weil sonst eine Landkarte mit Ortsnamen aus dem 3. Reich angezeigt werden.

Bei der direkten OSM-Anzeige (zumindest bei mir) werden die deutschen Ortsnamen unterdrückt und dafür der Ortsname in der Landessprache angezeigt.

Hello, sorry if I use German terms, but the UI is in German and I expected to enter German terms. Regarding the big mess. My opinion is, that there was already a big mess before I did my edit. The river course is split into HUNDREDS of segments with lengths up to 10m criss-cross the actual watercourse. I just added the watercourse as a quite complete line according to the underlying bing maps images which should be not the very newest ones, but still more accurate than these river segments at OSM. I wonder if OSM wants to have historical watercourses and big detail or more updated data displayed. The river changes its course quite frequently. The details which the watercourse segments imply is deceiving.

Hello Martin868, could you please provide a link to the information related to the park boundaries you have? I cannot remember that I have removed a rectangular area! Here is a web page of Parks Canada showing 2 blocks.
