Please make sure that all values ending with ":lanes" have the same number of entries. You changed "turn:lanes" to have three lanes but all the other tags have four (they include the cycle lane).

Hello and thanks for your contributions. Please use more descriptive changeset messages, for example "added a service road." See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments . Also, when drawing the roads, please connect them to any other roads or paths they cross. The editor should have given you a warning and an opportunity to fix it.

The street name is incorrect. addr:street must match the name of a street nearby, and not include the number (which goes in addr:housenumber). osm.wiki/Addresses Additionally, you need to use the changeset comment to describe what you changed; "update" is not enough. osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

In changeset/120350812, you dragged the restaurant node away from its original location, but this changeset deletes it entirely. I restored the node to its original location with changeset/120392764. In the future it might help to go to the node and view its history, to see what changed. osmcha.org can also help visualizing changes.

Other mappers would appreciate it if you wrote more detailed changeset descriptions, so that they could know what was changed without having to look into the details. For example, "Added addresses". See also osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

In addition to the duplicate data (which is against the "Don't put data on top of data" import guideline), the "phone" and "description" tags are not properly formatted. Because of these issues, it's clear that the data did not go through manual review before uploading. That may be allowed after agreement from the community, but clearly that agreement was not reached either. Manual review after uploading is not acceptable, since it adds bad data to the live database.

Please follow the import guidelines: osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines
In particular:
- Document the import
- Link the documentation in the changeset comment
- Notify the imports mailing list
- Wait for a week for feedback from the local community
- Do not damage the live database
In addition, this changeset violates general guidelines around changeset size.

Our local mapping style is to move the outdated information to old_name=*, destroyed:*=*, and shop=vacant, and keep any still-relevant information, including the address.

119572116 over 3 years ago

By deleting the node entirely, you've removed valuable information from the map, like the location of the street address. Instead of deleting, please either move the outdated information (e.g. to old_name=*, destroyed:*=*, shop=vacant), or remove only the outdated tags.

When making changes, other editors will appreciate if save your changes in one local area first before moving on to another one. In this changeset, you added a shop in LA, but also changed a Muni station in San Francisco, so in the history view, it looks like you edited the whole state of California. Thanks!
