HI! I’m a freshman education student from PUP San Juan and i’d like to share my experience from my CWTS #MapaTime sessions. I’m honestly not the ‘techy’ type of person so i struggled keeping up with the pace at first, but when i got used to the mapping process i actually started to enjoy doing it. My favorite part in the mapping process is the part where we look for schools around the map, because it kinda felt like treasure hunting of some sort. After 5 sessions of #MapaTime, i realized that i could help communities through mapping in their locations as accurately as possible. Through my experience, i think more people should try mapping and help communities in this kind of simple activities. Lastly, i’d like to thank the instructor and the volunteer senior students for their time and effort in teaching us how to map. :)
