Added a review portal link to https://opencampingmap.org/
Posted by giggls on 30 July 2022 in English.While I tend to keep OpenCampingMap as it is showing only the facts acquired in Openstreetmap some people argue that users want to have reviews on this kind of maps and that this is what makes Google Maps or TripAdvisor so attractive.
This might be true. Thus I have now added a button to an external FOSS review Portal called Mangroove Reviews as a proof of concept.

This seems to have problems: The latest review on the mangroove site at the moment is for the campground “Jugendzeltplatz Nr. 7” in Sigmaringen. However, the button from OpenCampingMap returns a “No results found.” This might however be a problem at mangroove; the link from the mangroove start page finds the site with one review, reloading the page then still finds the site but with zero reviews.

Hourly update seems stalled. I added a campsite days ago near Glamondans, France.

@yvecai: Database replication is working fine. If you provide the OSM-ID of the object you added I can have a look into the POI database.

@yvecai: Site is there if you enable caravan_sites in settings.
Background is that I consider tourism=camp_site + tents=no the same as tourism=caravan_site.

This makes sense :) I should have checked twice the tags in Vespucci, may have found myself a bit lost in the extensive preset.

There seems to be a bug regarding reviews only shown after explicitely selecting the site again.

I think it is a valuable addition.
I notice not for all campsites the button to Add Review is available. What are the preconditions to get this button?
For example, I was at this wildcamp site (and added it to OSM), but I could also write a good review about is (less factual data). https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/4412830490
