Helo Mark!

Croeso a diolch am gyfrannu (welcome and thanks for contributing!)

In the "name" field, we only need to map the common name, in this case "Y Felin"

If you click the little "+" icon to the right of the name field, you can add in the same name in different languages including Welsh and English.

Yea, some people have noted they were having issues, no worries then :)

Hi there,

These AI slop buildings are mostly semi detached and terraced houses, and therefore should be split according to the OSMUK Cadastral Parcels.

Can you please ensure you split these to ensure accuracy?

(whoops, typed the tag wrong - landuse=meadow)

177806105 12 days ago

Hi, thanks for contributing. Are you sure the farmlands are correct here? They look more like [[landuse=meadow]] to me!

Helo 'na!

Fel arfer dyn ni ddim yn gwneud "slash naming" yn y maes "name" oni bai bod y ddau enw yn debygol o gael eu defnyddio'n lleol - yn anffodus dim ond 21% o boblogaeth Llanelwy yn siarad Cymraeg

(dwi'n anghytuno gyda'r drefn hon fy hun ond "consensws" y gymuned ydy hwn! ac wrth gwrs mae yna eithriadau...)

I've removed the tag - thank you!

Hi Andy,

Thanks for this! My guess this was probably glued onto something and I must’ve connected it by mistake - certainly not my tagging!

I’ll have a look when I finish work

Please don't blindly copy from Wikipedia.

The Welsh Wikipedia is absolutely terrible with placenames and has their own unofficial style that is not used by any non-Wiki user.

Thankfully the name:cy tags you added don't need to be changed, but please don't copy from Wikipedia.

Helo GafrPiws

Thanks for contributing/diolch am gyfrannu!

House names should go in the addr:housename fields in the addresses section, rather than the "name" field at the top

Thank you for this, I didn't know I was tagging it wrong all this time!

Hi there, you seem to have removed the relation entirely - the lines are blank with no data

Hi there,

Thanks for contributing, but may I ask why this is necessary? Do you have a link to a discussion regarding these tags?

Rugby Union is the main code played in Wales of which there are only 2 codes. It makes no sense to create minor tags for rugby=*.

Hi there,

I'm not quite sure where the "boundaries that belong to multiple relations" are coming from here. Coed Wenallt was a multipolygon made of closed ways as it's one named forest split by the road.

Gluing areas/closed ways together is the preferred way to map here - could you share the wiki page you're reading perhaps?

177055094 about 1 month ago

Hi Steven,

Can you please use closed ways when adding landuse, instead of the multipolygon method?

The multipolygon method makes things really difficult for people on other editors.

Hi CalJones93,

Thanks for contributing! The white and orange striped lines (white and grey on the map) are a road under construction, and you drew a new road on top of this instead of changing it to the residential road.

I'm not quite sure you're aware of what you're doing here, so I suggest going through the Walkthrough (maybe a box came up on your screen when you started editing?) - you can find it by pressing H on your keyboard when you're in the editor.

Helo tumbledust!

Thank you for adding buildings here - I just want to give you a pointer, apologies if this comment is a little bit long!

On the right of your editing screen, there should be a button with 3 squares on it (or press B on your keyboard) and this will bring up a bunch of imagery options and overlays that you can use!

In that settings window (you may need to scroll down a bit) there is something called "OSMUK Cadastral Parcels" - this shows each property boundary, and will enable you to split up semi detached houses and terraces, like here way/1464860645/history

Croeso GafrPiws!

This looks great, but don't forget to press Q after drawing a building to make it square :)

coteyka, it's *impossible* to edit the USA relation (relation/148838) without making a world spanning changeset box.

it's on well over 1000 versions right now with other multilingual tagging edits happening recently (changeset/176458385) so i'm pretty sure you've already seen something similar to this.

it really doesn't take much time or effort to scroll down and see what someone has changed, especially if you use something like "better osm.org" that highlights the changes for you.
less time than it takes to write a comment moaning about the size of a big box.👍

this is going to be my only comment on this changeset, i'm not entertaining things like this.

diolch,
ceirios
