hi, how well do you the ards pennisula? hoping to travel there this spring, hadn't thought of cycling and am loathe to rent a car. thinking donaghadee as a base. spent summers there as a kid. been a while.

Well, I grew up in Bangor and have walked most of the roads down the peninsula since the 60's. These days I motorbike about. A push-bike would be a great way to explore but Portaferry might be a more interesting base - unless there is something very specific, like relations, around Donaghadee you want.
