Access visit by #SurreyCoalition staff and members

10322286 10 months ago

Good afternoon, thanks for this question about my tagging so long ago! Sorry for the delay in replying.
I have carefully read the current wiki for "Shop" categories and I think your suggestion is right for this store, and probably others too.
You can see what they were selling last year when I added a snap here https://wheelmap.org/node/1581053695
This nearby shop, Keymex, should also be changed to Appliances - images here https://wheelmap.org/node/5231640160

Quite agree.....

Please restore Wheelchair access information tags that are used by  https://wheelmap.org/nodes/-93305543 as they will still apply to the WC which is still open, and any use of the cafe space under new management, or after reopening.
Same logic applies to the closed Jigsaw branch in the High Street which is reopening as a shoe shop in July without changes to the entrance.

I've just visited the car park that was deleted here: node/1758986252 and it still exists
See snaps on Wheelmap: https://wheelmap.org/nodes/1758986252
Please reinstate the node.

A voir: osm.wiki/FR:Key:wheelchair
mais si.....
Bordure de trottoir inaccessible
Franchissement de plus de 3 cm ou géométrie de la bordure nécessitant l'assistance d'une personne pour franchir le trottoir
wheelchair=no
kerb=raised

j'espere que cela explique

Sorry for any French typos, English is my mother language

This changeset has removed two features used by Wheelmap, the map for wheelchair users. Also lost are the links to photos that enable users to see how accessibility details
Examples of Wheelmap use at this venue: Car Park - https://wheelmap.org/nodes/-4353026
Viewpoint - https://wheelmap.org/nodes/692993252
It's good to change points into buildings, but please do so in a way that doesn't cause loss of data for other sites that rely on OSM nodes as placeholders for images and descriptions.

Please reinstate these, and in future incorporate existing *Wheelchair:description=* nodes into any revision.
Since 2014 I have captured Access-4-ALL details for many thousands of places, and replacing the snaps is very time consuming.

Thanks for preserving the Vacant shops that are tagged on wheelmap - one has accessibility photos https://wheelmap.org/nodes/-534297902

Thanks for plotting this. I'll look up my Wheelmap survey snaps and add a wheelchair:description= tag shortly. It was on the to do list that got submerged by other tasks

For all of us who contribute it's always "Work in progress" but I can see from your recent edit history that you are doing more than your fair share of useful stuff around here and in Redhill/Reigate where I live. My current mapping is aimed at recording wheelchair accessible routes and places. See the West Humble subway on the connecting route https://wheelmap.org/nodes/5495678090 Sadly part of this Greenway near Denbies is too steep or too narrow for even powerchair users to navigate safely, despite the wheelchair logo on the signs and route card.

Useful mapping of the Leith Hill Greenway relationship. The official website (and signage at Denbies seen in the Autumn) doesn't appear to show it north of Denbies as far as West Humble. What have you discovered?

Good to see you are marking up accessibility, do you have photos to show the details that you can upload to the Wheelmap page: https://wheelmap.org/nodes/4784717881 Examples at another NT property Box Hill here: https://wheelmap.org/nodes/287373456

Good morning
Law Courts stop https://wheelmap.org/nodes/565760044 has now been removed from use and replaced by two new stops at Shaws Corner and Dorian Drive surveyed yeaterday >> changeset/112367209
I haven't done anything to the relationships for the routes (411, 420, 430, 460) as I know you are the expert on fixing these.

Good morning
I note that among this change set the edit (ia it automated) has deleted the Wheelchair Accessibility tags for Lloyds in Reigate. node/583252475/history
This data is used by Wheelmap and has associated images. https://wheelmap.org/nodes/583252475
Please check and reinstate this and any others that I haven't found among the long list.

Hi
Don't remove point notes that include the tags wheelchair=yes/limited/no and wheelchair:description=[some access-4-ALL info]
These are used by wheelmap and wheelchair users.
Here you have removed a point note that is used by Wheelmap to show the accessibility of the WC within the Community Centre: https://wheelmap.org/nodes/5519077450
You have not transferred this accessibility information to way/550012026/ and even if you had the images would no longer be linked and will disappear from Wheelmap.

Hi
The removal of point nodes for businesses such as Holmesdale Garage node/324815549 has consequences for pages that depend on the data, In this case Wheelmap
https://wheelmap.org/nodes/324815549 - Not step-free to reception desk.
Your replacement way/904159962 will have to be re-tagged by a wheelmapper. How many other examples of accessibility mapping have been vandalised here or in other change sets? I have already discovered two by inspection within 200m
