Where other mappers have added verifiable information that supports (likely non-licence-compatible) previous edits, I've not reverted.
See also changeset/124560133 which covers some revert failures here.

Hello,
You've split way/1082139602 from way/163957781 here but they have the same tags?
Best Regards,
Andy

Oops - the key/value pair "test=test" got added to node/471496029/history by mistake here.

Thanks!

Hello Marc?

Just for info, the DWG was asked about these changes so I've asked on talk-gb about "where does a motorway start": https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-gb/2022-August/029229.html .
Best Regards,
Andy, from the Data Working Group.

Hello,
Thanks for tidying this up.
Just wondered if the bits to the west (see relation/17883#map=17/53.83569/-1.77262 - on Briggate and on the Otley Road) are still part of this route?
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks - that looks like a blue plaque of some sort. The ideal tagging for that would be memorial=blue_plaque or memorial=plaque .
If you can't add that with MAPS.ME, then I'd suggest using a different editor. On a PC, the regular "edit" link at the top of the page would work. On a phone, perhaps Vespucci would work for you?

Hello Haisuli, hello archie,
First things first, "bicycle=designated; foot=designated; highway=path; surface=paved" and "bicycle=designated; foot=designated; highway=cycleway; surface=paved" are both perfectly valid for this sort of link used by people on foot and on bicycles.
Changing one to the other isn't a "fix" (and it is always better to use more meaningful changeset comments than just "fix").
Likewise, changing one to the other isn't "vandalism" either - but changing values back and forth is just pointless.
Best Regards,
Andy (from the Data Working Group)

Hello IG987,

What exactly is "Chemical Landmark" here? You've added it as a tourist attraction, but what actually is it? Maybe there's a better tag in OSM for it?

Best Regards,

Andy

Hello asady100,
Please use meaningful changeset comments, not just "editing". See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments .
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

I see that someone's also changed Whernside back (not sure if that was you or not).

Please don't make test edits to live data! There is a test server for that see "sandbox for editing" in the wiki.

It was a mistake by the user that has since been corrected.

Thanks for fixing!

Hello Sam888,
Can you explain what relation/14371920/history is supposed to be? It's clearly not well formed as a multipolygon, has relation/14371919 as an inner and the Gulf of Aqaba relation/12165391 (!) as an outer.
I've no idea what you're actually trying to do here, so I'd suggest that you ask about it on the help site https://help.osm.org or on https://community.openstreetmap.org/ .
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello Bruno,
Andy from OSM's Data Working Group here.
Just letting you know that we will need to redact this postcode data from OSM.

OSM uses British English for tagging, so "official point of view of Orthodoxy" isn't especially relevant here.
Different churches will always have complicated lists of those others that they are "in communion" with.

> Besides the one you mentioned, I used BobKelly, RobertReynolds, Nia-gara and RickMaldonado

Whilst it's OK to use multiple accounts (I use 4 for different things), it's only fair on other OSM contributors to edit the profile of each and make it clear that they're just a "sock puppet" of another user, so that people don't communicate with them thinking they are an unconnected user.
