almost 11 years ago | https://github.com/mapbox/map-feedback/issues/567 seems to be an unaccessible link; would it be possible to explain what it says?
almost 11 years ago | Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap. What exactly is way/325048641 ? Is it something that you can actually see on the ground?
almost 11 years ago | Hi, I notice that you've made some wide-ranging changes including way/152929291/history changing "amenity=consulate" to "amenity=embassy". Was this change discussed anywhere beforehand, so that data consumers who would have been expecting "amenity=consulate" knew to change their processes?
almost 11 years ago | Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Just spotted that you'd added a number of what are probably buildings (like way/325172824) here. If they are buildings, then add a "building" tag (a value of "yes" will do if you don't want to be more specific). That way, the software that displays things on maps will know to display a building here, with the name that you've already used. Oh - and any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Best Regards, Andy
almost 11 years ago | Have you been and had a look at it? What evidence do you have that it _is_ a windmill?
almost 11 years ago | It's not in any sense a windmill though - just a pile of stones that once used to function as one. historic:man_made=windmill I could perhaps understand, but man_made=windmill is writing cheques it definitely can't cash!
almost 11 years ago | Hello - just noticed that you've added the "man_made=windmill" tag to a ruined former windmill near Fritchley node/1424621220/history#map=15/53.0772/-1.4557. It's a while since I was there, but if I remember correctly when I was it was pretty definitely ruined - only just recognisable as a former windmill. Has it been renovated and is it working as a windmill again? Given it's location, I'd be very surprised indeed.
almost 11 years ago | Whereabouts, geographically, did you make changes? It's a very wide bounding box, so difficult to say from that exactly what's changed, without trying to look at the changeset externally in something like osmhv or achavi.
almost 11 years ago | Hi - it seems that way/323464911 is a duplicate of way/323463553 here?
| 28371659 | almost 11 years ago | Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I think that something went a bit wrong with Tunstall Road way/24409106/history here - it looks like it got deleted by mistake. I've undeleted it, so no need to worry. One other thing - when adding public footpaths you can add "designation=public_footpath" (like on way/165976298) so that it's clear that it really is a public footpath, and not some other sort of path (like in a park, for example). A couple of the footpaths off Tunstall road had already been noted as public footpaths (for example way/209218737/history) so I'll add the designations to the replacement new paths that you've added. Anyway - hope you don't mind me mentioning this - any questions, drop me a message. Cheers,

almost 11 years ago | Just checking - node/3181820860/history and node/3164329099/history seems to be duplicate "Sainsburys Local"s on Surbiton station. I presume that one of them shouldn't be there?
almost 11 years ago | (for completeness, echoing the email) sorry - the centre of Stafford is not really in my patch. The "Mappa Mercia" crowd (English West Midlands) may have someone local or familiar with it, though. I'll ask on IRC to see if anyone knows there too.
almost 11 years ago | Thanks for that - just goes to show you can't always tell from just the imagery.
almost 11 years ago | Hi - I think that something may have gone a bit wrong with pinning down some of the locations here. node/3306866930 is a new node in Stafford, and the name is "The Swan Hotel", but that is actually an existing hotel some distance to the north way/166534942 . Whereabouts within the hotel is the bicycle repair station? Is it really open 24/7, and public access (i.e. if I'm not a hotel customer and need to use it at 3am, can I)?
almost 11 years ago | Would it be possible to be a bit more specific what 's happened here and where? It's quite a wide changeset. It turns up in a local feed of local changes, so I know that there are _some_ changes near me, but I don't know which. What was the problem before? What was the evidence that the problem was a lack of connection rather than something else? Did you let the previous mappers know that you've fixed a problem, so that (hopefully) the problem won't happen again?
almost 11 years ago | Is the gate node/3306776753 on the service road or the footpath? What are the access rights on the service road and the footpath? I live northwest of there and am trying to work out whether it could be used as a shortcut to Portland Country Park...
almost 11 years ago | Hi - you wouldn't happen to know what the access rights are on the footpaths behind Dacrylate are, would you? Is there any signage?
almost 11 years ago | Hi - just happened to spot way/307446684 while looking at something else - are you sure it's residential (i.e. are people living there)? It doesn't look like it from the Bing imagery (but that may be old, of course).
almost 11 years ago | You've removed the car park entirely. Previously it was mapped as "private", meaning that no-one would think that they ought to be able to park in it. The risk now is that someone will re-add from aerial imagery without access tags and it'll show on OSM as a public car park again (though hopefully people will realise that it's within the school grounds, and not).
almost 11 years ago | You've used a changeset comment here of "mispelled tag", but the changes made do seem to have caused information to be lost. Previously way/43099722/history was "landuse=vineyard; crop=WINE GRAPES". Now it is "landuse=agriculture; crop=grape". Previously it was obviously a vineyard producing grapes for wine; now it is not possible to tell that from the tags - it could just be producing the raw materials for grape jelly or even vinegar!
