Aaaarghh. I just spent 3 hours walking with osmtracker, only to find out it didn't save the gps-track when I clicked stop&save.
If anyone knows a reliable tracker, please let me know.

Sure? Since one week, I have an android-smartphone, also. And so I use OSMTracker for android... And till now, I didn't had problems: All tracks were saved.

OSMTracker has been very reliable for me on my Droid. I don't know why yours didn't save.

I use TrekBuddy on my Symbian Nokia, but they have an Android version, too.
Set it to automatically record.

I have 7 saved tracks but the one from today isn't on the card.
No errors or anything.

I have been using My Tracks. It works great to save gpx files and then load directly into potlatch or josm.

I also use mytracks, never any reliability problems with it.
Unfortunately I find the gps in my magic is not as accurate as my old BT-dongle one.
