that area of hoboken is pretty ridiculously mapped. roads are mapped not only as ways but also as areas😡 I think it needs some major pruning.

Hello.
A small advice is to try to submit your edits after you finished editing in each geographic area, be it a block, a city or perhaps even a county. Keeping your edits grouped geographically together makes it easier for other people to understand what you are trying to edit and help you if you encounter any problems.
Otherwise, if you don't limit each changeset to a specific geographic region, the way OpenStreetMap works is it will notify a lot of people about your edits, people that are really far away from where you edit and don’t have local knowledge to assist. For example, this edit of yours notified pretty much everybody who watches the map in the eastern US and Canada.πŸ˜… It's not the end of the world, but it's best to submit your edits grouped to smaller geographic areas. πŸ‘

I personally don't think it's an intentional and permanent pond. As they will continue to tear down that building, this "pond" get burred in garbage and construction equipment. I doubt they would make anything permanent there while demolition is still going on.
As for the building itself, perhaps instead of 'building=yes', it should be tagged as 'building=ruins' or 'abandoned:building=yes'?
Alternatively, if they are planning to gut it and renovate, perhaps just tag the whole thing as a construction site?

Please note that you can not use any Google imagery to map in OSM. All Google's imagery is copyrighted to them and not allowed to be used with OSM.

Regarding your photo, it doesn't seem like an intentional, permanent pond. Seems more like a large puddle or lack of proper drainage there. Or am I wrong?

Actually, it appears both issues have already been fixed. ☺

Hello.
As documented on description=* the description field must never be used for advertising.
Additionally, as documented on opening_hours=* hours has a specific syntax for the days of the week and hours.
As such, I'll correct both of those issues. πŸ‘

Hello.
Please note that this is an incorrect way to represent this business. You tagged the whole building as being this business. This is highly unlikely since I can see other businesses at this address too.
Additionally, this is not a location of a building with address on Park Avenue. You can not take just any random map object and mangle its data to add your business.
If you want to add your business, please do it by adding a POI node close to the primary entrance and include all the relevant details there.
As such, this edit is going to be reverted.

Hello.
I'm unable to verify that such park exists at this location. There's no street named "springfeild gardens" at this location.
As such this edit is going to be revered.
If this is incorrectly, please provide some supporting information for this edit. πŸ‘

Hello.
Could you please elaborate on Sogno Toscano edit? Their website doesn't list location..
Also since you have the full address, and it's a normal US postal address, it's best to separate it into each relevant tag rather than use ":full" one. πŸ‘

Hello.
If this building is demolished, perhaps it more correct to delete it from the map?
Also, do you have any supporting info regarding that pond? Maybe a link to some article or official website? πŸ‘

Hello.
Mapbox satellite imagery shows that this roof appears to be flat. Is gabled the correct tag here?

Hello.
Could you please elaborate what this changeset updates? It spreads over most of continental US and Canada.

Hello.
I noticed you've been adding and updating business related info around NJ. πŸ‘ When it comes to phone numbers, please try to format them as documented in phone=*#Usage

Hello.
Please note that OpenStreeMap has standardized name tags for all the data you entered. When you added a POI, if you would've selected "Restaurant" as a feature type, it would have provided you all the standard fields where you enter relevant information, rather than you coming up with your own tag names.
I have corrected this entry to use standard tags. In the future if you are going to add or modify data, please try to follow guidelines from osm.wiki πŸ‘

Hello.
A couple of tips regarding your edit.
When mapping polygons that are supposed to have square corners, you can right-click after drawing them and select square.(Some of those houses look pretty crookedπŸ˜‰).
Additionally, as documented in sport=tennis, when mapping tennis courts, each court should be mapped separately as its own area.
Finally, when mapping other areas, please try to draw them as accurately as you can to match best available satellite imagery. Some of the parking lots and residential areas you mapped cross into nearby streets. πŸ‘

When adding nodes, please try to position them correctly. I highly doubt benches and a bike rack would be in the middle of a 6-lane road. πŸ˜‰

Generally, if it's just an edit, you can simply make another edit fixing the bad changes. But if it's a deletion of some feature then perhaps it should be reverted.
One of the simplest way to revert bad changesets is http://revert.osmz.ru
However, it should be used somewhat sparingly.
This is not really a mess. Just a single POI edit is not that big of a deal. πŸ™‚
If you have an Android device, you might want to check out StreetComplete app. It's not a full OSM editors, but rather allows you to fill in certain missing data as you walk around.

Since the new supermarket is going to open at a somewhat vague "summer", and at least a couple of months away, perhaps it's better to add it when it's actually operational or close to.

OSM has a couple of different ways to tag things that "used to be" and "going to be". They are documented here osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix
For example instead of just deleting the old supermarket node, you could've prefixed all business-specific tag names with "disused:" and once the new one is good to map, updated the same POI with info about the new business. This way you'd be preserving the edits history of this node and location.
