Hello.
Per osm.wiki/Sidewalks. "It is recommended to represent the sidewalk as a separate way, if the sidewalk is not just attached with a kerb but separated by a road verge or other barriers, to prevent routers from assuming free crossing". This sidewalk is attached to a road by a curb and runs parallel to it along the whole length, as such it shouldn't be mapped as a separate path, but rather tagged as an attribute of the road.

Hello.
Please note that writing promotional description of what your business does is not a useful changeset message to let others know what exactly you edited.
Additionally, you edited the whole building. This is a massive office building. I doubt your business occupies all of it. You probably have just an office there, maybe a floor. As such, it is wrong to tag the whole building for your business. Instead it should've been added as a POI node.
Also format for opening hours does not follow OSM standard.

Hello. It's best to make these kind of changes one place at a time. That way is there's some mistake, only 1 place would have to be undone/fixed.

Hi. Unless that area changed significantly since the start of the pandemic, from what I remember of it, it seems like the shape of this polygon isn't correct. It crosses into paved pedestrian walkways. You can clearly see that on ESRI satellite imagery.
Perhaps you should undo this changeset?

I went ahead and recreated that business as a POI node and deleted your duplicate building in changeset #: 96126860

93959327 about 5 years ago

Hello. This is perhaps not the best way to map this situation. It looks like you created a new building polygon, but there's already a larger building polygon that covers this building. So now we have 2 overlapping buildings.
Also you shouldn't name the whole building for a specific business that occupies only part of the space. If I remember correctly about that block, laundromat is on the first floor, but above it is residential or perhaps office space. In situations like this it's more correct to map laundromat as a POI node rather than a polygon.

Hi. Please consider submitting your edits as smaller changesets, so that if there's ever some mistake that needs to be undone, only that part of your edit would be affected. Additionally, it makes it easier to figure out what exactly your changes did. Rather than a bunch of different edits to buildings and roads all over the place grouped into one big changeset.
Also when adding business POI, perhaps consider putting it at the business' entrance rather than middle of a building its in. Makes it easier for people to figure out where exactly they have to go..

Unless it changed or I misremember, there's a bike path that goes from Shore Parkway turns off to West 22nd and goes to Bay 52nd St in one direction and from Bay 53rd St in the other direction..Or am I wrong?🤔
I was there earlier in the summer, more than 2 weeks ago...

Deleting bus stop names purely because you don't like how they are *displayed* is WRONG WRONG WRONG!
The map should contain as much useful information as possible!
If you have an issue with how bus names showing up on the map, take it up with the tile render style, but don't vandalize the map because of that! As jmapb said "tagging for the renderer" is wrong.

Dude, this edit contains so many incorrect edits, it's unbelievable! I have to go feature-by-feature undoing your vandalism!

91880778 about 5 years ago

Dude, why would you delete correctly mapped bus stop names?!

91887176 about 5 years ago

Also why did you delete correctly mapped bus stop names from this neighborhood?

91887176 about 5 years ago

Why did you delete many existing and correctly mapped road segments here?

Could you please make smaller changeset. Makes it easier to correct any potential mistakes.
Also please try to draw buildings to their baseline, not roof line. Drawing them to the baseline ensure that they are positioned accurately regardless of the satellite/plane view angel changes.

I'm sorry. I spent like good 40-45min trying to figure how to make a label relationship with iD similar to what i see with LES, but I was unable to replicate that.

77975824 over 5 years ago

Can that be done with iD or would I need to do that in jsom?
Also shouldn't the primary concern be the accuracy of mapped data and not visual representation of it since "labeling purposes" concern is addressable by updates to the visual representation of that data?

jmapb, apologies for not replying sooner. Yes, it seems like I made these edits with incorrect understanding that stop sign attribute is for the actual location of the stop sign, and not for the intersection itself. Thank you for correcting my mistake.
