Thank you

Or is there a difference between the Mennonite colony and what you call a district?

173561609

Well, I have a file on Mennonite colony boundaries, so I updated it on OSM to match that. But if you have an actual government source then your source might be more truthful.

This is not an asphalt highway, it is a double sealed crush stone highway, which is not the same as asphalt.

When drawing buildings, always remember to hit Q while having the building selected to square the building corners.

Hey, I love that you add new roads. Maybe you could add your source when mapping roads that don't exist on the Bing and Esri imagery so someone else doesn't delete them accidentally. I did check Copernicus satellite and confirmed that this is true, but others wouldn't check.

Also I try to tag the surfaces of all roads in Belize.

Please do not rename roads in Belize when you don't have official data or can't read the road signs. John Smith Road is not John Johnny Smith Road. If you want to include people's nicknames you can do that in osm.wiki/Tag:etymology=.

Hi, to avoid accidentally sharing drain nodes with building, landuse or streets, you can hide objects other than drains in the ID editor.

I have a file of what the Ministry of Works calls the roads, but I'm not sure if I want to modify the names to match that. So I'll put them in osm.wiki/Tag:official_name=. And class is probably unnecessary as it's the same as ref=D or AR or F

I will replace them with official_name yet. I wasn't sure how to tag them the other day, but I figured it out now.

I'm sorry, I uploaded OsmAnd edits, and I just upload the occasionally.

And therefore I can't find any evidence of the current correct number for the Coastal Plain Highway. Though I would assume it should be AR5.

171477317

I reviewed the historical A numbers, and I see it's supposed to be A3 for the Coastal Plain Highway. But as these are outdated numbers, maybe I shouldn't have them on the map at all.

I've updated this page with my latest research. https://wiki.aaroads.com/wiki/Roads_in_Belize

These numbers are only used internally. There is no ground signage. I debated if I actually wanted to add them, but the folks on the AARoadsWiki Discord encouraged me to add them. You can find the ones I added in this document.

Also, please use Esri Imagery instead of Bing.

Hi, I see you added a lot of drains but connected them to roads via ford. This is not correct, the drains should be culverts when they go under roads.

First of all I am from a Mennonite community. And it's probably true that they don't like to be mapped, but so do lots of people who's houses you map. I recently started mapping the villages as place=village instead of boundaries. I'm just used to mapping all villages as boundaries in Belize where I do most of my mapping. And I wouldn't tag them as place=farm, because to me a place=farm is a single farm with a name, like Peters Farm.

Hmm, I guess I could map them as a village area.

Ok, thanks I will change them all to admin_level 9.
