The reason I changed the classification of this way to highway=residential was to carry the higher classification of the connecting highways through the dual carriageway. Looking at this intersection again, I agree with keeping this classified as highway=service due to it’s main purpose (to serve the shopping center) as well as relation/8308553 preventing traffic from the residential highway from going through the dual carriageway.

I extended this residential highway because I did not see any physical barrier preventing this connection in aerial imagery nor in 2022 Mapillary (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=45.797244199998&lng=21.242724899998&z=17.17696947638558&pKey=5054572701299193&focus=photo). A bollard is not present in the resources I have available to me but since you have knowledge that says otherwise, I’m happy to defer to your edits.

I extended this residential highway because we can see the left turn arrow sign printed on the street in 2022 Mapillary (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=45.78625069793401&lng=21.236913100002994&z=17&focus=photo&dateFrom=2022-01-01&pKey=2623104394500879) and I did not see any physical barrier preventing this connection in aerial imagery nor in 2022 Mapillary. Your work on updating the bus routes and stops is invaluable, especially given that they haven't been updated for a few years. As for feedback, I would recommend reviewing/validating your edits before uploading to ensure no unintentional deletions or classification changes have been made. It looks like you have been doing so in your recent changesets which is greatly appreciated.

I wanted to bring a few things to your attention regarding your edits in Malta. In particular, it looks like you may have mistakenly deleted a section of trunk highway (way/514527737) but I believe the intention was to remove an old bus stop node. I also noticed that you changed the classification of a highway segment from highway=tertiary to highway=primary (way/29286673) resulting in a short segment of primary highway which is disconnected from the greater primary network. Primary highways typically link larger towns while tertiary highways are typically used to link smaller towns and villages (highway=*#Roads).

I have already updated these areas, but thought it might be helpful to point this out as you seem to be a new member of the OSM community. You might also find https://learnosm.org/ useful, as it has a lot of great editing tips. The country wiki page for Malta also has some helpful policy that is specific to Malta (osm.wiki/WikiProject_Malta).

I noticed you removed aeroway=jet_bridge tag and changed the highway type from corridor to footway on the airport’s passenger boarding bridges. According to the OSM Wiki page for aeroway=jet_bridge (aeroway=jet_bridge), these bridge way features should be tagged with highway=corridor (highway=corridor), as corridor tags are "used to map a hallway inside a building”, rather than highway=footway (highway=footway) which are used for "pedestrianized streets”. Mapping to these established tagging guidelines are the most accurate and would avoid inconsistencies at this and other airports. For that reason, I will be restoring these ways to how they were previously tagged based on this OSM policy.
