The Moscow Area Mountain Bike Association, MAMBA has done an amazing job of building, maintaining and managing a truly impressive network of trails across Moscow Mountain in the Palouse region of Idaho.

All of Moscow Mountain is privately owned, by a mix of private individuals and timber companies. It’s a testament to MAMBA’s leaders that they’ve been able to work with landowners to develop the trail network, and maintain access rights.

the MAMBA website is a great resource for local mountain bikers, with helpful trail maps, descriptions and updates. The $15/yr membership fee is absolutely worth it, and anyone planning to bike on Moscow Mountain should join both to support the organization, and to get the useful “members only” information they have on the site.

I’ll be adding MAMBA’s named trails to OSM as I ride them, referencing the organization’s trail names, and adding data about other roads on the mountain as well.
