Changeset When Comment

Hi, thanks for contributing to OSM.

In this changeset you added some building nodes to the SRL (way/1003899336/history/29). I've since disconnected them in this changeset: changeset/173907222

Please refrain from connecting building nodes to the underground railway construction ways as they are not connected in any way.

The service roads should be connected to the road, not just the cycleway

Hi JuKrab, just letting you know that you forgot to add building=yes to the building outline you drew here. I've added the tag in changeset/173560367 . Now it will render and show the name on most renderers

Thanks for adding all these businesses and clinics in Bendigo :)

Are you sure these connect to the road? It looks like the parking is on the roof and underground, not on the same level as the road

does the driveway actually connect to Maroondah Highway? From aerial it seems like it only connects to the highway's service road

You may want to use the building tool (osm.wiki/JOSM/Plugins/BuildingsTools) for houses or alternatively press "Q" to orthagonalise the ways as most of the buildings are comprised of right angles

You've edited Flagstaff station in Arizona, United States (way/453586544/history/6#map=19/35.197405/-111.648589) in addition to the one you probably wanted to edit in Melbourne, Australia. I'd assume VIC DTP isn't intentionally editing in the US, so I've assumed this is a mistake and have reverted the changes in the US (changeset/172430435).

You may want to give way/1430884901 the outer role in this relation too

Hi, thanks for your contribution to OSM.

In this changeset you dragged a bunch of footpath nodes onto the road. See here: https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=171801167 I've since fixed this.

This, along with other changesets you've made, have had similar issues between them. Please take care when adding driveways not to drag nodes away from where they should be.

this looks like a driveway rather than a residential road

comment didn't go through: fix driveway from changeset/171667028; restore dragged node

I second that, please keep the history rather than recreating ways in the same location. I'd suggest checking here for why this is considered good practice

osm.wiki/Keep_the_history

Also I'd advise reading this to inform yourself of other such practices, such as not tagging for the renderer, and leaving good changeset comments.

Google earth is not a permitted source due to the license. It is paramount that you ensure the sources you use are allowed.

osm.wiki/FAQ#Why_don't_you_just_use_Google_Maps/whoever_for_your_data?

osm.wiki/Google

I've reverted this changeset for the aforementioned copyright reasons.

If it was removed in 2008 and there is no evidence of its existence on the ground now it probably shouldn't be mapped. Generally speaking, razed features are mapped in order to prevent other mappers from adding it back using outdated aerial imagery.

osm.wiki/Nonexistent_features

Also, I'm curious as to what your source is for the geometry here? Bing and Esri both show no evidence of this existing.

Could you fix the wikipedia tags for those relations? It should be *language*:*page title* rather than a URL.

E.g. wikipedia=en:Williamstown line rather than wikipedia=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Williamstown_line
