I marked the platforms for both rail and bus station .
But the platforms are not shown in the map while JOSM clearly shows them.
Has the tag not been implemented or awaiting community acceptance?

The unified stop area proposal seems in between of the old e.g. highway=bus_stop and the new relation-based-schema ( http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Oxomoa/Public_transport_schema ). IFAIK it is not rendered, but I don't tried it or researched it any further.
