Interesting GPS camera development

Thought this might be of interest to other OSMers, for photo mapping:

Great idea - and about time really. A Sony pocket camcorder also comes with GPS and supporting map software - GPS, stills, video and voice - nice. http://www.sony.co.uk/product/cam-high-definition-on-memory-stick/hdr-tg7ve

Might be good for diy streetview.

I have a Garmin 550t https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=26876&ra=true
which is just plain great for mapping :-)

A lot of touch screen phones have both GPS and accelerometers and in theory should work as well as this camera, just add some software, which is the sticking point, I tried to do something similar in the past but the math was too hard for me to comprehend.
