Posted by ablansinger on 18 September 2010 in Danish (Dansk)

Using OSM map during holliday

Posted by ablansinger on 19 July 2009 in Danish (Dansk)

Part of my holliday was planned to be three days in kano near Arvika in Sweden.

Prior to the trip I used JOSM and Landsat images to trace the lakes and rivers that I expected to pass, right before the jurney I downloaed the OSM based maps to my Garmin device.

It was realy nice to be able to realy use the maps I had prepared from home.

Waiting for an update of the CycleMap

Posted by ablansinger on 7 July 2009 in Danish (Dansk)

I have been waiting more than a week to see my last contributions
to the Danish Cycle Routes RCN 2 & LCN 37 & 38 on Als.

Almost like at Christmas, can't wait any more, want to see what I am getting ;-)

Potlach too slow now

Posted by ablansinger on 15 May 2009 in English (English)

I have been using both Potlach and JOSM uptill now.

But for some weeks now, it seems like potlach (or the server/api behind it) have become so slow that it is nolonger feasible to use it.

For simple edits it used to be easier to use potlach, so I would have liked to use potlach also for my next mapping.

Posted by ablansinger on 18 March 2009 in English (English)

http://www.osm4you.com/Europe/Denmark/denmark_gmapsupp_img.zip

Posted by ablansinger on 22 February 2009 in English (English)

wget http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/europe.osm.bz2
7z.exe e -y europe.osm.bz2

java -jar osmosis.jar --read-xml file="europe.osm" --bounding-polygon file="CTN OSM DK mm.poly.txt" --write-xml file="denmark_mm.osm"
java -jar osmosis.jar --read-xml file="denmark_mm.osm" --bounding-polygon file="CTN OSM DK.poly.txt" --write-xml file="denmark.osm"
java -jar osmosis.jar --read-xml file="denmark.osm" --bounding-polygon file="CTN OSM Jylland.poly.txt" --write-xml file="jylland.osm"
java -jar osmosis.jar --read-xml file="denmark.osm" --bounding-polygon file="CTN OSM Fyn.poly.txt" --write-xml file="fyn.osm"
java -jar osmosis.jar --read-xml file="denmark.osm" --bounding-polygon file="CTN OSM Sjaeland.poly.txt" --write-xml file="sjaeland.osm"

java -Xmx512M -jar "mkgmap.jar" --latin1 --description="OSM DK by CTN" --mapname="64004501" denmark_mm.osm --gmapsupp --tdbfile --net

Fejl omkring Herning

Posted by ablansinger on 24 January 2009 in English (English)

Overlapping ways

Posted by ablansinger on 22 January 2009 in English (English)

I am currently Using the old Wayscheck scripts from Gary68 to find and fix problems with crossing roads, loose end and such in Denmark (Fyn and Jylland).

I have resolved quite som problems but now I have a problem that I dont know how to fix, so some assistance is welcome.

There is a East/West going highway in Jutland named "Esbjergmotorvejen" and it seems that there are several overlapping instances of this road, I have tried to delete some of these but not succeded.

The involved overlapping ways (according to JOSM validator) are:

3 ways: Esbjergmotorvejen
164 points 25612631
43 points 4596756
66 points 4596751

2 ways: Esbjergmotorvejen
164 points 25612631
66 points 4596752

3 ways: Esbjergmotorvejen
166 points 4048475
46 points 4596755
99 points 4596744

2 ways: Esbjergmotorvejen
166 points 4048475
99 points 4596744

I think it should be possible to load all the needed roads into JOSM with this link

Tilføjet fejl/mangler på www.OpenStreetBugs.org

Posted by ablansinger on 3 January 2009 in English (English)

http://openstreetbugs.appspot.com/?lon=10.417704894808782&lat=56.084068695897805&zoom=8

Error corrections around Denmark

Posted by ablansinger on 30 December 2008 in English (English)

During Christmas time i have experimented with the Waycheck script
see more at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Waycheck
created by Gary68 see more at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Gary68
and have found a lot of unconnected road ends and
roads crossing without bridge or tunnel tag.

Will keep fidling with the script until temperatures in Denmark
again allows mapping on bicycle.

Happy new year to everybody.

Selv producerede kort

Posted by ablansinger on 20 November 2008 in English (English)

http://www.asmweb.de/OpenStreetMap/Europe/Denmark/
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=54.86574&lon=9.63998&zoom=17&layers=B000FTF)

Incorrect rendering of sea/land

Posted by ablansinger on 12 October 2008 in English (English)

An incorrect rendering of the "Flensborg fjord" or "Flensburger förde"
have appeared at the oma rendered maps.

See more at http://informationfreeway.org/?lat=54.82466911472931&lon=9.664814209280461&zoom=10&layers=B0000F000F

Is this caused by a broken coastline or incorrect rendering request (sea or land instead of mixd) ?

Besides from knowing what the problem is I would also like to know how to figure out what the problem is. Is there a wiki tour that explains how to debug the OSm rendering ?

Something for the long winter eveneings - test routing graph!

Posted by ablansinger on 7 September 2008 in English (English)

I just tried to use GPSMapEdit to test routing in the danish part of the OSM map, and there is along way ahead of us.

So for the long winter evenings without enough traces to work on, I think I am going to verify the routing of the existing ways with GPSMapEdit.

What I do is like this:
Use wget http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/europe/denmark.osm.bz2 to get the proper data.
Use java -Xmx512M -jar "mkgmap-r630\mkgmap.jar" to create a proper IMG file
Use GPSMapEdit from http://www.geopainting.com/en/ to build and verify routing
First thing to do in GPSMapEdit is to build the Routing list with
"Tools->Genrate Routing Graph -> Using Coinciding Nodes of Polylines"
And finally the "Test Routing Graph".

This reveals a lot of places where ways seems to be connected but there is a little gap. It also has revealed several places of roads with incorrect oneway direction and even missing oneway dairections.

Who is adding administrative boundaries ?

Posted by ablansinger on 19 July 2008 in English (English)

For some weeks ago I noticed that a road (way 13523361) suddenly had become an administrative boundary with germany on the left side. I also noticed that the change had been added by a user "anonymous".

Today I noticed that the entire eastcost line of denmark (eg. way 4120237), from the german/danish border and up to tha danish city Kolding, had benne tagged the same way as administrative boundary with germany on the left side. And again it was added by a user anonymous.

Can anybody explan what is happening ?

Only partly rendered

Posted by ablansinger on 18 June 2008 in English (English)

Yesterday I entered a few new roads, and today I see them on the maps. Both the maps rendered with Mapnik and the one rendered with Osmarenderer.

In the Osmarendered maps it is all fine, but in the mapnik I can see that the coastline is not adjusted and the result is roads in the water

Is this just a coinsidence that the computer doing the mapnik rendering actualy
fetched the data for this area just while I was half way though my editing (with Potlach) ?

Failing to revert to version 1 of a lake

Posted by ablansinger on 16 June 2008 in English (English)

Hi

I have a lake that have been inadvertenly moved, but I am unable to
revert to the correct version 1.

When press 'H' and select the first revision and press "revert" it seems
like it switches back to the correct old position, but when I leave and reenter
potlach it again at the wrong position and with an incorrect shape.

What is happening ?

It is all about:
