Aproveitei uma viagem a Brasilia em Março para voltar a visitar a equipe da INDE no ministério do planejamento, que eu tinha visitado em 2015 e voltei a apresentar o OSM. Em maio, sob orientação deles, aproveitei uma viagem ao RJ e encontrei a equipe da CONCAR no IBGE.

Estas reuniões foram mencionadas na 26 ata da CONCAR e uma Nota de Informação sobre o OSM foi publicada.

The Brazilian OSM community is organizing, tomorrow Saturday 8 am (Brazil time) a Mapping Marathon, in order to improve the map around the stadiums of the World Soccer cup.

It would be great to have OSM members of the whole world helping us for this effort. It would still be better to be able to say to newspapers that people from the whole world are helping.

In it you have the link to all the places of the stadiums: Click on the link for each stadium (estádio) and start editing taking into account Bing iimagery which was just updated for Brazil.

On JOSM editing tool, there is a new layer which has been available for only a few weeks, called “IBGE setores urbanos”, (IBGE = Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). This layer shows in transparency the names of the streets. This is government, free public data.
