I’ve been enjoying walking these tracks and adding them to OSM. A friend and fellow OSM mapper has created a subset of OSM maps that contains just the walking tracks for Australia. So it is of even more value as I can add these into the GPS.

If you have an interest in Mapping the walking tracks of the Blue mountains drop me a line.

Hi, are you able to hook me up with this walking tracks subset? I’m in Canberra and more interested in mapping/using walking data for Namadgi, Brindabella and Kosciuszko but would be nice to see what your friend has got, thanks, @NathanaelB (Twitter)

Hi Mate

At the moment, the subset is just a raw .img file, so it cannot be installed into mapsource or basecamp, so you would need a recent Garmin GPS that supports multiple .img files on the memory card.

I’ll have a chat to my friend and see if he is ready to start “releasing” the mapset yet.

Cheers
