Potlatch 2: bookmarks

Posted by Richard on 5 July 2015 in English.

A new little feature for Potlatch 2: you can add a bookmark for your current location, accessible via a new ‘Bookmarks’ dropdown menu. Use the ‘Add’ button at the bottom of the menu to add a new one. It works pretty much like every bookmarks menu you’ve ever used, to be honest.

There’s also a new trademark obscure keypress, ‘N’, which moves to the other end of the currently selected way.

Great, both of these will be useful. Moving to the other end of a way has always been a guessing game between pressing “comma” or “period”.

Would you consider adding a shortcut to jump to a given latlng?

You can jump to a lat-long by clicking the little ‘search’ icon (the magnifying glass beneath the +/- zoom icons) and then typing a comma-separated lat-long - does that help?
