on 09 June at 17:05 I requested that you cease all editing in Ukraine here changeset/137140211. You read that - and replied to it - but still you could not resist doing precisely what you were asked not to do, 6 hours later in changeset/137156027.

The value of this contribution for OSM is practically zero; still you’re trying to send a message to the Ukrainian community that says “here I am, michael60634, and I am right and you’re wrong”. This is what I meant when I spoke of a “pissing contest” in my changeset comment, and this is also what I meant when in our various exchanges I tried to make you understand that there’s more to an edit than whether it is factually correct or not. Sadly you did not seem to get these nuances, or your need to show the world that you are right somehow overrides all other considerations.

I don’t even doubt that you are factually correct but I have asked you to back down and you haven’t. I am now preventing you from editing for 24 hours, and should you make further edits in Ukraine (including all occupied Ukrainian territories, like Crimea), I will issue further blocks that double in duration each time.
