Dear users Roadrunner87 and Happyrambler,

the DWG is investigating some complaints regarding recent changes to the Kilmacolm area, especially with regard to private land and access rights on Overton Road. Tensions are riding high with both sides of the conflict accusing the other of acting malevolently and illegally.

Please refrain from deleting anything in the area, from adding walls or fences, from renaming roads or changing road types, or adding any infrastructure like walls, fences, barriers etc. aimed at discouraging road and trail use in the area.

This issue is being handled at the DWG under Ticket#2023050510000125.

We are reviewing the situation and will then decide which mapping is correct. In cases where you have made changes to OSM mentioning correspondence with Inverclyde Council, please forward any such correspondence to us (email us at data@osmfoundation.org quoting Ticket#2023050510000125 in the subject line).
