Dear Alef Meem, the naming of the Persian/Arabian Gulf has been discussed in OSM for a long time. It is not for you to make unilateral changes. If you would like to discuss the issue, head over to the “talk” mailing lists at lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk and discuss the matter there.
