Hello robyyen and welcome to OpenStreetMap.
I’m sending this message that you have to read before continuing to edit because lots of other mappers have tried to get in touch with you and your have either not received those emails or have failed to reply.
You can see those messages at http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=12927950 .
Before doing anything else please do read those messages and reply to each one saying that you have read and understood it.
Also, please make sure that every change that you make to OpenStreetMap has a good changeset comment. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for a discussion of what that means. A string of gobbledegook hashtags such as “#hotosm-project-10635 #covid19 #COVWales#gomicron21twsg#gomicron21tw#gomicron21twf11mefst” is not a good changeset comment. You may want to include hashtags in addition to a good changeset comment, and that’s fine, but you must include a good changeset comment explaining what you did. I’ll separately ask (in a changeset discussion comment) what those hashtags mean.
Whenever you’re taking part in an “organised mapping activity” the person organising that will also need to follow https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines , and that has some requirements for mappers taking part too - you should have been asked to edit your profile as set out in https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines#Duties_and_training_of_editors . In this case the person organising the activity did not follow the rules. Obviously that’s their fault and not yours, but please be aware that if you ever take part in a future organised mapping activity that there are requirements both for the organiser and for you.
Finally, I must add - if you’ve got any questions about OpenStreetMap please do ask. There’s a community help site at https://help.openstreetmap.org/ , and there are lots of local, national and international OSM groups around the world. See osm.wiki/Contact_channels for more details.
I’m sending this message as one that you have to read before continuing to edit. Once you’ve read it you’ll be able to carry on, but please do the things that you were asked to do above before doing so. If you’ve got any questions about this message please email data@openstreetmap.org and mention your user name, and we’ll be delighted to help.
Best Regards
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM’s Data Working Group
