Dear user ingalls,
Looking at your most recent changesets from 20 days ago, you have been making mass edits of roads in the US, and as you have done so, you have removed TIGER tags from these roads. There is no reason to remove existing TIGER data tags from roads, and removing potentially useful data from OSM is not a generally accepted practice.
In addition, the changeset comments for these edits (which can include hundreds of roads) is vague “Fort Hood Traces & TIGER Corrections”.
Changset comments should be descriptive and explain what has been done. On smaller edits this matters less, when the work is obvious, but in your case, you are making dozens or hundreds of road changes at a time, it is difficult to understand what you have changed and why.
Your contributions are important, and your passion for contributing to New York City is particularly valuable, but you must refrain from making mass tag changes, and you must use helpful changeset commments in the future.
Thank you Serge Wroclawski a.k.a. emacsen for the OSMF Data Working Group
