Dear users Flagzy, Aem_Linux, sagass, Killart, and KAZUT0,

you appear to be using a tool that automatically creates sidewalks and you upload them to OSM.

I had initially commented on a changeset of KAZUT0, without knowing that others were using the same tool, and my comment was:

Dear user KAZUT0, in this changeset you have uploaded a large amount of sidewalks which appear to be automatically generated and do not reflect reality on the ground. Many have duplicated existing sidewalks, or crossed them without any intersection nodes (something that the JOSM validator should have warned about). You have also uploaded ways tagged with “barrier=kelb” which is a very unusual tag, and created hundreds of relations the use of which I cannot understand.

Whatever “#SidewalKreator” is, please don’t use it any more, it appears to be broken. I am reverting the edits you made in this changeset. Please do not make more edits like this.

I am repeating this message to all of you now, and I will revert the broken sidewalks that you have uploaded. Your coordinated and automated editing activity requires prior discussion witht the OSM community, so that your tools and methods can be evaluated before you break any more data in OSM.

Best regards Frederik Ramm OSMF Data Working Group Ticket#2026090210000378
