This is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source, without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold both yourself, and OSM, open for legal action.

However, other mappers have contacted us to express their concerns that you have apparently been editing OSM by using data from Google Street View.

This data is not licensed for use in this way, so you must stop doing this, and these changes must also be reverted, immediately.

Could you please advise us of the source of your information for making these changes?

Once you have read this message, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM, but if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by 24 August, further action may have to be taken.
