Hello, well this is an open platform to collaborate into building the map of the world. What you can take from it seem quite personal, to be honest with you, for example. What drove me here was that this platform is integrated in the simulator flight gear, which uses these maps to render the environment there, I found that my city hasn’t been completely mapped, so I’m starting to map it bit by bit to complete it and to have a nice view of it from the skies on that game… Then, It happens that I also am a software developer and I often find a need of using maps on a mobile app or website, so, this app comes in handy with that purpose. And finally, one of my goals for this year is to go camping up in the mountain, and thus, this app has a topography layer which allows me to print helpful maps.
