Good catch. Do those extra nodes affect anything negatively? Or is it just a matter of bad practice? They are left behind when smaller rectangles created with the Buildings plugin are joined. I used to delete them, but have found the extra nodes can sometimes be useful anchor points if the shape needs to be edited later on.

Minor update, I went through here yesterday 2024-07-15 and that section of road has been removed! The area is still under construction, but a new curb has been added along 8th Street where that road used to meet it.
